Doctors
Registrars / Training
We are a training practice involved in the training of future General Practitioners from medical students to qualified doctors at different points in their career.
- We train doctors who have completed their hospital based training and are spending the final years in General Practice working towards their final GP exams(ST3).
- Junior doctors at earlier stages of their career. They are qualified doctors in clinical training who have completed a medical degree and are undertaking their second year of foundation training (FY2). All junior doctors work under the supervisor of a senior doctor.
- Medical students typically undertake a five-year undergraduate course to become a doctor. This usually includes two years studying basic medical sciences, followed by three years of more clinical training during which they work in GP surgeries under the supervision of a GP or in hospitals under the supervision of a consultant.
All Registrars/Trainees have full access to patients’ medical records. This is essential for the purpose of training and patient care. The strict rules of confidentiality are adhered to at all times throughout the whole practice.
